Transitioning from lower secondary to upper secondary can be an intimidating leap for both parents and students. So before the new school year begins, give your child a head start with our Sec 3 Bridging Course.
This course aims to strengthen your child’s foundation in the different subjects and get them prepared for the crucial year ahead. Get your child familiar with concepts and theories taught in upper secondary early to boost their confidence.
Learn to synthesise concepts taught at lower secondary with the more challenging upper secondary content under the guidance of our specially trained teachers. The progression from Secondary 2 to Secondary 3 can prove challenging. Thus, the Sec 3 Bridging course aims to help your child overcome this with greater ease. Maximise your child’s potential so that they stay ahead of the curve!

Sec 3 English Bridging
Upper secondary English aims to not only hone the student’s linguistic abilities but also to shape them to be more analytical and critical in their thinking. As questions introduced in Secondary 3 extend beyond basic answering techniques, students will also learn to apply logic and look beyond what is given to answer these questions effectively. The content covered at this level is also more expansive, urging students to keep up with the world around them. This course will provide them with the tools they need to apply real-world knowledge to their writing.

Sec 3 Maths Bridging
Our Secondary 3 Maths Bridging Course is specially designed to help students build a strong foundation to excel in upper secondary Math.
With this in mind, the Secondary 3 Maths Bridging Course gives students a head start before school commences next year by providing a brief introduction to the following topics to ease their transition into a new level.
• Quadratic equations and inequality
• Indices and Surds
• Polynomials and partial fractions
Students will be guided step-by-step in class with summary notes and questions. There will also be a topical diagnostic test at the end of each day to gauge students’ mastery of the topic.
Sec 3 Science Bridging
The following topics are selected to ease students’ transition into secondary 3:
- Experimental design and separation techniques
- Atomic structure and chemical bonding
- Chemical formulae and balancing chemical equations
- Physical quantity and units
- Kinematics (Speed, velocity and acceleration)
Students will receive a booklet with simplified notes and questions, and guided step-by-step in class. There will also be a mini recap quiz at the end of each topic to test for students’ understanding of what was taught.
